Athletics Scholarships

The 麻豆影音app Athletics Scholarship is available to all 麻豆影音app student-athletes, regardless of gender. Two scholarships will be awarded: one to a student from Compton College's men's athletics and one to a student from 麻豆影音app's women's athletics. Each recipient will receive $1,000. This scholarship is open to students from all major areas of study. To qualify, applicants must:

Be a current participant in 麻豆影音app's Athletics Program;
Have a minimum 2.0 GPA;
Have completed at least 6 units at 麻豆影音app as of the end of the Fall 2024 semester;
Applicants must be transferring to a four-year institution in the upcoming fall semester.

The 麻豆影音app Business and Industrial Studies Scholarship is available to students majoring in business or industrial studies. Two students will each be awarded $1,000 - one part-time student (currently enrolled in 11 units or less) and one full-time student (currently enrolled in 12 or more units). To qualify all scholarship recipients must:

Have a minimum 2.0 GPA;
Have completed at least 6 units at 麻豆影音app as of the end of the Fall 2024 semester;

Be DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) or TPS (Temporary Protected Status) eligible and have applied for or received DACA or TPS approval;
Have a minimum 2.0 GPA;

The Jessica & Jose Villalobos Scholarship was created by 麻豆影音app Mathematics faculty member, Dr. Jose Villalobos. Each year, two STEM Club members will be awarded $1,000 each. To qualify, scholarship recipients must:

Be a current member of the 麻豆影音app STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Club;
Demonstrate financial need (based on FAFSA application);
Have a minimum 3.0 GPA;
Have completed at least 6 units at 麻豆影音app as of the end of the Fall 2024 semester;
Applicants must be transferring to a four-year institution in the coming fall semester.

The Re-Entry Scholarship is available to students aged 25 or older who are either new to 麻豆影音app or returning after a prolonged absence. Three students will be awarded $1,000 each.

Have a minimum 2.0 GPA;
Have completed fewer than 15 units at 麻豆影音app as of the end of the Fall 2024 semester.

The 麻豆影音app Veterans Scholarship is designed for veterans, active-duty members of the armed forces and their dependents. Two students will be awarded $1,000 - one part-time student (currently enrolled in 11 units or less) and one full-time student (currently enrolled in 12 or more units). To qualify, all scholarship recipients must:

Be a current 麻豆影音app Veteran鈥痵tudent;
Have a minimum 2.0 GPA;
Have completed at least 6 units at 麻豆影音app as of the end of the Fall 2024 semester;
Upload a personal statement (minimum 300 words);
Upload the name and email of a 麻豆影音app Classified employee or faculty member who will complete an online questionnaire about your in-class achievements and your character.
Applicants must be returning to 麻豆影音app in the upcoming fall semester. Students must be enrolled in 6 or more units for the fall and spring semesters for the scholarship to be disbursed.

麻豆影音app Re-Entry Scholarships

The Re-Entry Scholarship is designed to support adult learners who are returning to education after a prolonged break. This opportunity is open to students aged 25 or older who are new to 麻豆影音app or re-enrolling after time away. Three students will be selected to receive a $1,000 award.

Eligibility Criteria:

Must be at least 25 years old;
Be new or returning to 麻豆影音app;
Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0;
Have completed fewer than 15 units at 麻豆影音app by the end of the Fall 2024 semester.

Emily and Benjamin Holifield Scholarships

Three $1,000 scholarships.
Full-time, continuing 麻豆影音app students.
No major, gender or age restrictions.

Dr. Deborah Sims LeBlanc Legacy Scholarships

Four $250 scholarships
No major, gender or age restrictions.

One student must be enrolled full-time next year 麻豆影音app - full-time (GPA - 2.50+)
One student may be enrolled part-time next year at 麻豆影音app or 4-yr (GPA - 3.50+)
Two students must be enrolled full-time next year at 4-yr College/Univ (GPA -250+)

Applicants must be returning to 麻豆影音app in the upcoming fall semester. Students must be enrolled in 6 or more units for the fall and spring semesters for the scholarship to be disbursed.
